The Rebirth (1400 -1520)

The art of the Rebirth was born in Italy around 1400. One understands by Renaissance, revival, new apogee, it is about a return to the language and the values of antiquity gréco-Roman but also of a new inspiration for the art of the time which wanted to reach the level of the Antique art but also to exceed it. The painting of Giotto is one of the first revealing signs of this new vision of the world and nature. It replaces the gold bottom of its tables by natural funds, interior landscapes, architectures and spaces. The human silhouette gains a considerable power, painting is regarded as a science: made anatomical exact and the central prospect becomes the major concern of the artists.
